Since Luxembourg is a part of the Schengen Agreement, most travelers outside the E.U. have to get a Luxembourg tourist visa (or “Schengen visa”) to enter. The way to do this is either by applying in advance at the local embassy, or if the person traveling is eligible for “Visa On Arrival”, they will just get a visa stamp in their passport at the immigration desk at the airport. To find out whether you have to apply in advance or if you are eligible for Visa On Arrival, call your local embassy in advance.

If you have to apply in advance, it requires a little more effort from your side. Every Luxembourg tourist visa application requires a valid Schengen travel insurance that is submitted with your application. What is a valid Schengen travel insurance? To be valid for a Schengen visa application, your travel insurance must meet three, distinct requirements:
- The insurance must be valid for the entire length of your stay in the Schengen area, and sometimes also for an additional 15 days.
- The insurance must cover all medical expenses, emergencies and repatriation to your state of residence
- The insurance must have a minimum coverage of €30,000
Even if getting travel insurance means an added expense, the benefits for you personally of having one are invaluable. I have personally had to use my travel insurance on, so far, two of my trips due to unforeseen incidents (dog bite and food poisoning)! Naturally none of us plan to have any incidents or accidents on our trips, but sometimes they just occur. Depending on the plan you choose, you can even insure yourself for theft, missed or delayed planes, and lost luggage.
To get a Schengen travel insurance plan that meet the Luxembourg tourist visa requirements, you can purchase one at Schengen Travel. Schengen Travel is a US based insurance company with many years of experience. There is no need to check each individual plan, as their policies all meet the Schengen visa requirements, and you can submit your application, without worrying about rejection due to problems with your travel insurance.

VALID FLIGHT RESERVATION(S):
Almost all Schengen visa applications require an authentic flight reservation. Even though there are some nationals who are exempt from this rule in some countries, your airline will also ask to see a return flight, and has the right to deny check-in to any passenger who fails to show a valid ticket. In order to work around this requirement in the cheapest way possible, Schengen visa flight reservation has now made it possible to book authentic flights to wherever you want and whenever you want, without buying the actual ticket. Don’t risk losing hundreds of dollars on buying a ticket you don’t need, just for your Luxembourg tourist visa application. Our low-cost flight itineraries and hotel bookings plans are 100 % authentic and verifiable, safe (pay through PayPal or credit card) and fast (in your inbox in a matter of hours). We take care of the cancellation process, and you don’t have to worry about anything! If you have any questions, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to help!
PROOF OF SUFFICIENT FUNDS:
The requirement for daily amount varies from country to country and is subject to change. The current requirement for Luxembourg is unknown, so call your embassy directly to check. Accepted proof can be bank checks, payment slips, credit card statements or other bank statements. A list of other countries’ requirements can be found Visa Policy for Schengen Area, for indicative purposes (section “Means of subsistence”).
SCHENGEN TRAVEL INSURANCE:
As we have already explained, your Schengen travel insurance needs to fulfill several requirements in order to be accepted for your Luxembourg tourist visa application. Check Schengen Travel for all their great plans, or if you have any questions, feel free to contact us here at Schengen visa flight reservation via WhatsApp (+1-224-656-4761) or e-mail. We provide FREE visa consultation and are happy to help!
VALID HOTEL BOOKING(S):
The same requirement as for flights, goes for hotel bookings. The requirement for valid hotel bookings also carries other benefits, for example; the minimum required daily amount when visiting France is €120 if you don’t hold any proof of accommodation, £65 if you are staying at a hotel and only €32.50 if you can show proof of accommodation. That is a difference of €87.50, and means you don’t need to show proof of as much funds prior to your trip.
If you have been officially invited to the Schengen area by a host, you don’t need to show any proof for your Luxembourg tourist visa application, but if you don’t have a host, this requirement is crucial. Your visa officer wants to see that you have planned where to stay to determine that there is no risk of you staying illegally in the country. This requirement makes it a headache for travelers who want to keep their freedom, flexibility and spontaneity when they travel, and that’s why we have created the same plans for flights, hotels, bus and train reservations at Schengen visa flight reservation. Just tell us when and where you want your bookings, and we take care of the rest. No need to worry about cancellations or having to stick to a rigid schedule! Check our plans today to find what suits you best.
VISA FEE:
The visa fee might vary from country to country and depends on the type of Schengen visa you choose, but is in general about €60. Sometimes this fee needs to be paid up-front, so check before submitting your visa application!
OPTIONAL NO OBJECTION LETTER:
The Letter of No Objection is not a mandatory requirement for your Luxembourg tourist visa application, however, many travelers have found that it positively impacts their application process (if done correctly). Read our article on how to get a Letter of No Objection.
