This week we are writing visa articles on among other topics like the Spain tourist visa. I usually read stacks of articles about different countries and their visa requirements every week, and when reading about the European countries, most of them fall in to the “Schengen visa requirements” category, granted they’re a part of the Schengen Agreement.
The requirements for most of these countries are usually the same, especially for someone who is a holder of a European passport. So when I research, I always research from other nationalities’ point of view to make sure I catch any added requirements. When reading about the requirements for the Spain tourist visa today, I came across some requirements I haven’t seen before. These requirements seem to apply to Indian nationals, but probably apply for other non-Western nationals applying for a Spain tourist visa as well. In this article we will list the mandatory requirements as usual, but we’ll also have a look at these somewhat particular extra requirements for the Spain tourist visa. Read on to find out what they are!
At Schengen visa flight reservation we are well aware that visa applications and requirements can be a huge hassle and very difficult to wrap your head around. That’s why the founders created this service, and recently also added FREE Visa consultation via WhatsApp (+1-224-656-4761).
Just yesterday I went to the Indonesian embassy to apply for my extended tourist visa (the Indonesian socio cultural visa), and I met another applicant whose application was rejected directly at the counter due to missing documents. The man tried to argue with the visa officer, but to no avail. Missing documents equals no processing, simple as that.
I handed in my application after him with no problems (after all, my job is to write about visa application requirements!). So what documents was this person missing? In his case, he was missing his round trip flight reservation (more on that later in the article). Like we have repeated so many times in each article (and that includes this Spain tourist visa article!) EVERY visa application these days must include a round trip flight reservation. This person had actually booked his flight, but he hadn’t printed it out because the airline wasn’t able to send it to him (make sure you always give the correct e-mail address!). I showed him how to retrieve his ticket by going to the airlines’ website and using his name and flight reservation, and voilá; he could submit his application.
In my case, I had only booked a one way ticket to Indonesia, because the visa I was applying for is extendable for up to 6 months, but you only get an initial 60 days when first applying. I needed a return flight with a date after 60 days, but I don’t intend to leave that soon. I also don’t know if I’ll be flying to Europe, or make a stop in Asia first. So what had I done to obtain a return ticket when I didn’t want to purchase one just yet?
Obtained a valid flight itinerary through Schengen visa flight reservation. It was my need for a valid flight reservation without actually purchasing a ticket that initially brought me to Schengen visa flight reservation a long time ago, and it’s how I ended up writing articles for this fantastic establishment. Your Spain tourist visa application will also need a valid return ticket, and I can guarantee you there is no better provider than Schengen visa flight reservation.

- Proof of accommodation - Schengen visa flight reservation also offers hotel bookings for visa that we cancel for you, for any length and in any country. In addition to flight and hotel bookings, we also offer bus and train bookings. Yep, we’ve made it easy for you 🙂 Check our 4-step process here.
SPAIN TOURIST VISA – ADDED DOCUMENTATION:
Please allow for adequate visa processing time when applying! Governments keep passing new laws that require more and more documentation, and in this case, there is a you a lot of potential extra documentation needed.
Apart from the “normal” Schengen visa requirements, you might need to add the following documents. If you are unsure whether these requirements apply to you, you are better off adding them anyway. In any case, we always recommend that each applicant calls the embassy in advance to make sure they have all the needed documents. Have your checklist ready in front of you and go through them step by step with the consulate or Embassy in your country and ask if you’ve missed anything for your Spain tourist visa.
- All old passports – call your embassy if you are lacking any of your old passports
- According to vfsglobal, Spain requires a sworn declaration basically declaring that you have a valid Schengen travel insurance. The document can be found here
- According to the same website (vfsglobal specializes in Indian nationals) you must also submit a full checklist with your application. Call your Embassy to see if this applies to you, but in any case it’s a great checklist to make sure you have remembered everything.
There you have it! If we missed anything in this Spain tourist visa application article, please let us know!
